The Kazakhstan defense ministry and special services of the Republic of Kazakhstan have received a new batch of Arlan armored wheeled vehicles.

This was announced by vehicle manufacturer Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE) who is also responsible for their development.

Arlan possesses features that make it suitable for conditions in Kazakhstan: pre-launch engine heating in the wintertime exploitation, an efficient heating system, and a Kazakhstan-made radio station.

The 4×4 multi-role MRAP (mine resistant ambush protected) type mine-protected armored vehicle has high road clearance, and a V-shaped bottom can withstand debris and dissipate energy of blast.

First deliveries to Kazakhstan armed forces started in 2016. It has accommodation capacity for ten personnel and a payload of 2.5 tons.
