A British parachutist landed inside a private house in California after crashing through the roof during a military exercise on July 6.
The exercise the parachutist was participating in was hosted at Camp Roberts and was taking place in the San Luis Obispo County area.
A Camp Roberts spokesman did not say where the parachutist had originally been expected to land.
According to the local police department, no one was at home at the time of the accident and only the parachutist suffered moderate injuries.
“Atascadero Fire and Police responded to the area and located the parachutist who had fallen through the exterior and interior roof of a residence,” Tribune News Service quoted a city release as saying.
Emergency services responded to multiple reports about a falling parachutist around 4:55 p.m. When they arrived on scene, the parachutist was conscious but stunned with complaints of pain, police said.
