The US Naval Air Warfare Center has awarded Airborne Tactical Advantage Co. (ATAC) a $441.5 million contract for adversary air training services.

The contract will see the company operate its Type III high subsonic and Type IV supersonic aircraft for a wide variety of airborne threat simulation capabilities.

According to contract details, the majority of work will be performed in Newport News, Virginia and Point Mugu, California. Other locations will include Hawaii and Japan.

ATAC received the navy contract after landing three separate US Air Force contracts earlier this year.

ATAC operates a fleet of F-21 Kfir, MK-58 Hawker Hunter, L-39 Albatros, and Mirage F1 aircraft.
